SGConcerts.com is a concert review website. Our writing staff will cover Southern Gospel concerts taking place across the country.

Our staff (and the states they cover):

  • Adam Edwards (North Carolina). Adam Edwards is the author of Southern Gospel Critique. He holds a BS in Business Administration and owns Memory Lane Photography (a photography services company) and Adam Edwards Designs (a graphic & website design company), as well as working as a Systems Administrator for the Global Corporation, Glen Raven, Inc. Adam is married with 2 small daughters and travels locally with his family group, The Edwards Family. He is also an avid collector of Southern Gospel music, both current & classic.
  • Daniel J. Mount (Ohio). Daniel J. Mount maintains SouthernGospelBlog.com. He is an author and conference speaker. His most recent book is The Faith of America’s Presidents, published by AMG Books / Living Ink in 2007. He writes a regular column for Home School Digest magazine. His personal website is www.DanielMount.com.
  • Obadiah Neasham (Oregon/Idaho). Obadiah Jachin Neasham, 19, was born and raised in eastern Oregon. He has six siblings of which he is the youngest. Obadiah first became aquainted with Southern Gospel music at the age of thirteen. At first Obadiah was primarily impressed with the bass singers, but as time went on his focus changed from the bass singers to the message in the music, and the four part harmony. Obadiah co-founded and sings lead with a local male quartet named Obadiah & The Old Testaments. He also works fulltime as a Landscape Maintenance Professional.
  • Aaron Swain (Virginia). Aaron Swain is a young Southern Gospel fan from Central VA and authors the Swain’s Musings blog. He started his blog in 2007 with the sole purpose of giving readers the younger generation’s view of SG, a side not many people get to see. He was honored to be invited to the 1st Bloggers’ Roundtable at NQC 2007 after only a few short months of blogging. He is grateful to be blessed to have such a readership at such a young age. He is also part of an organization, Southern Gospel VA, that works to bring SG to the younger generation.
  • Sony Elise (Michigan/Indiana). Sony Elise is an avid southern gospel fan who has been following the music for over 20 years. She works for Wisdom’s Gate, a Christian book and periodical publisher. She also writes a regular column for An Encouraging Word, a national ladies’ magazine.
  • Diana Brantley (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee).  Diana is from the Atlanta, Georgia area and is a relatively recent southern gospel fan, having started listening avidly only about 6 years ago.  Her occupation is a software test engineer but her avocation is listening to as much southern gospel music as she can.  Diana enjoys reading and posting on sg forums and on her MySpace and YouTube accounts.
  • Hannah Lefchik (Ohio/Indiana). Hannah discovered the world of Southern Gospel music in 2004 and hasn’t looked back. She enjoys a home with her family in central Ohio while seeking God’s direction for this phase of life. She loves spending time with friends, writing, running, taking snapshots, and going to plenty of concerts. While she appreciates a variety of groups, her much-loved favorite is Ernie Haase & Signature Sound.
  • John Scheideman (California). John Scheideman is known on various Southern Gospel forums as Inquirer1. Born, raised, and still living in Fresno, CA, he is a 20-year veteran of KMJ radio in Fresno, co-host of “Don Smith’s Gospel Favorites” on the station, and the regular writer of SG History 101 on the Southern Gospel News website. He also writes a blog at http://john.sogospelnews.com/. His many interests include gospel music (of course), reading, theology, sports, geography, and people in general. His life is squarely centered on Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, and he tries to reflect and glorify Him in all he says and does.
  • Matt Paasch (Missouri). Matt Paasch has listened to Southern Gospel all of his life, but didn’t get bit with the “bug” until 1995. Since then, his love for Southern Gospel has never stopped. Matt is graphic designer for Missouri’s forefront Outdoor Retailer. He also runs his own freelance company, Paasch Creative Designs (http://mattpaasch.com). Matt is married and has a daughter and a son. He is currently in the process of starting a local quartet, and is slotted to be the bass singer. In other things, Matt is very active in his church, does ventriloquism, and enjoys researching local history.
  • Bethany Savage (Michigan, Indiana). Bethany covers Southern Gospel concerts throughout Michigan and northeastern Indiana. Her favorite groups include the Freemans and the Inspirations.
